Fred Porter and Peter Nalos, MD have been involved for eleven years in building African Children's Schools. Fred is a retired businessman who volunteers full time at the Mission in Bakersfield, California. Dr. Peter has been a Cardiologist in Bakersfield for almost 30 years and spends much of his free time in Africa with children. They partner with Rift Valley Vision in Ethiopia in providing construction, desks, chairs, blackboards and local teachers for the children. They also partner with the Tam family in helping the Cradock Hospice for children affected by the HIV virus. We have expanded to Zambia, Uganda and Kenya in the last few years. We are educating about 3,500 children a year in 5 nations.
